FPL Draft Tips: FPL Robinson’s Streaming Tips Gameweeks 21 & 22

Happy New Year.

No game on Friday gives us a bit of a breather! Then it’s 20 games in 6 days.

The waiver deadlines are

Friday 29th 2.00pm for gameweek 21

Sunday 31st 8.30pm for gameweek 22

So the Free agency will be open a few hours after the West Brom Arsenal game on Sunday afternoon so don’t miss out!

Gameweek 21 tips

Defender: Lascelles, Newcastle (BRI H) Tough week for defenders, but Lascelles is back for Newcastle who showed some real grit against Manchester City midweek. Brighton have already blanked 7 times away from home and could continue that run on Saturday.

Midfielder: Carrillo, Watford (SWA H)
Carillo has been an underrated part of Watford’s midfield this season, he gained 2 bonus points on Boxing Day despite not scoring or assisting. He doesn’t have the goals and assists of Doucoure and Richarlison but they could easily come against a Swansea team who are in meltdown. But at least they have Sheffield Wednesday’s ex manager to help now.

Forward: Solanke, Liverpool (LEI H)
Please only follow this tip if you are in the mood for a gamble! Liverpool play Burnley away on Monday and then Everton in the cup on Friday as such they may choose to rest their stars for this home game. Leicester are conceding goals recently and if Coutinho can provide chances Solanke could get off the mark.

Double gameweek 22 tips.

The first double gameweek is upon us with West Ham playing West Brom, Tottenham playing Swansea before West Ham visit Tottenham.

Now hopefully you are already well planned from our previous article

If not read on!

The fact only 2 teams are involved obviously lessens the appeal and it won’t make much sense to have 3 Spurs attackers and 3 West Ham defenders but West Ham could easily score enough points in the West Brom game to make the Spurs game a bonus.

In the normal game this is an obvious chance to get 3 of each in. In the draft game most of the best players will be already taken but if you can get any of the obvious players in a trade or waiver you should go for it.

In terms of streaming less obvious players this comes at a risk of dumping better long term players but there are a few options out there. If you need to catch up in your league this could be a great chance to make up a lot of points in one hit. If you have a good lead in a league don’t go out of your way to wedge a DGW player in for the sake of it.

For one week only we have a Goalkeeper tip!

Adrián, West Ham (WBA H, TOT A)
Adrian seems to have established himself as first choice and he could easily get a clean sheet in the West Brom game meaning any save points in the Spurs game would make him a better option than most keepers in the game.

DGW 22 tips
Defender: Cresswell, West Ham
Midfield: Arnautovic, West Ham (Son is in just less than 50% of draft leagues and is a very underrated pick if you can get him.
Forward: Chicarito, West Ham

Another important strategy to remember is that Spurs and West Ham blank in week 21 so don’t fill up with their players too early and leave yourself short, at half 8 on New Years Eve put your drink down and get the players in then, the pick up your drink have a great new year! All together now: come on David Moyes!
