Nothing better than midweek fixtures to get the FPL juices flowing, the waiver deadline is Monday night so remember to get your requests and free agency requests in.
Fair play to the official site for adding a few extra features
Hopefully this means they are ready to keep improving the game ready for next season. Don’t hold your breath though, as anyone who liked the Ultimate game will tell you the draft game could quite easily disappear as quickly as it arrived. It would be a shame if the original version wasn’t improved as it is definitely the best way to get people in to the game despite the other higher standard games out there.
If you are interested in the draft game but worried that it’s not quite what your mini league wants now is also a good time to experiment on other sites for the last part of the season.
Draft Fantasy are also running a World Cup game so that could also serve as an experiment for next seasons league campaign.
Gameweek 25 steaming tips:
Defender: Stephens, Southampton (BRI H)
Stephens was a mainstay in most people’s teams this time last year due to his cheap price and double gameweeks and history might be repeating itself. Southampton have struggled this year but have kept clean sheets along the way and a visiting Brighton team should offer another one.
Midfielder: Atsu, Newcastle (BUR H)
Burnley’s form has sunk like a stone in recent weeks and Atsu can take advantage under the lights in a must win game at St James Park. The exciting forward should be able to exploit the defensive uncertainly currently at Burnley and was rested for the cup game at Chelsea.
Forward: Batshuayi, Chelsea (BOU H)
One of the many bizarre aspects to Conte’s meltdown this season is his chase of substandard forwards. Especially as Batshuayi seems to be a more than able deputy, especially in games against weaker opposition. He was on the scoresheet in the cup at the weekend and his interplay last week against Brighton was nothing short of sublime. Bournemouth have the 3rd worst xG for goals against away from home and have lost all 3 away games against the top 6 by a combined score of 8-0. Batshuayi should play due to Morata missing out due to the tragic death of a close friend. Look out for any news on the teams in the build up and if Morata is able to play look to Stoke City’s Diouf at home to Watford who looks to be the Grant Holt style figure in Lambert’s revival.
